8 people, including 4 children, were rescued after a fire broke out in a residential building in South Delhi's New Friends Colony on Sunday. The fire started on the first floor and reportedly involved an air conditioner and other household items. Fire officials received the call at around 3:50 pm and quickly reached the spot. No human casualties were reported, but two dogs died in the blaze. Officials also denied reports that a child had died. The incident comes only days after a major fire in Hauz Rani that killed at least 21 people.
