CBSE Re-Evaluation Portal Faces Cyberattack, Records 1.5 Million Hits In Just Two Minutes

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday said its re-evaluation portal came under a barrage of cyberattacks shortly after going live for Class 12 students. The board reported nearly 1.5 million hits within two minutes and over one lakh unauthorised access attempts, indicating a possible denial-of-service attack. Despite the cyber threats, the portal remained functional and around 16,000 students successfully submitted applications for verification and re-evaluation of marks. CBSE said security measures helped protect the system, highlighting the growing cybersecurity challenges facing digital education platforms.
