US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping concluded two days of high-level talks in Beijing on Friday, with both leaders describing the meetings as positive and significant. Trump called the discussions “very successful, world-renowned, and unforgettable”, while Xi described the visit as “historic and landmark”, according to Chinese state media. Trade, oil supplies, Iran and Taiwan were among the key issues discussed during the meetings. Trump earlier claimed that Xi had agreed to withhold military equipment from Iran and support reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
