Uncertainty over government formation in Tamil Nadu continued on Saturday as the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) delayed announcing its stand on supporting actor-politician C Joseph Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). TVK, which won 108 seats in the 234-member Assembly, needs 118 seats to form the government. Congress, CPI and CPI(M) have already extended support, leaving TVK short by one seat. VCK, which won two seats, has emerged as the key player in the political deadlock. VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan said the party would announce its final decision later in the day after internal consultations. (PC: X)
