Mamata Banerjee on Monday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party “looted over 100 seats” in the West Bengal Assembly elections. She termed the BJP’s victory “immoral” and raised concerns over the counting process. After leaving the counting centre in Bhabanipur, Banerjee said she was gheraoed. “This is totally illegal. I had launched a complaint to the CEO,” she said. Even as the BJP crossed the halfway mark in leads, Banerjee expressed confidence in a comeback. “We will bounce back,” she said, referring to the All India Trinamool Congress’s future prospects.
