At Washington Hilton, a security scare during an event attended by Donald Trump revived memories of a 1981 attack on Ronald Reagan. Trump later said the hotel was “not a particularly secure” place.   In 1981, John Hinckley Jr. shot Reagan outside the same venue. The incident led to design changes, including a secure presidential suite.   During the recent event, security rushed in after loud noises, asking guests to get down. Trump was escorted out.
