Virat Kohli congratulated Sanju Samson with a heartfelt message after the wicketkeeper-batter was named Player of the Tournament in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. Samson played a key role in India’s historic title triumph after the India national cricket team defeated the New Zealand national cricket team by 96 runs in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Kerala star finished as India’s highest run-scorer in the tournament with 321 runs in five matches, averaging 80.25 with a strike rate close to 200.
