South Africa beat India by 76 runs in their T20 World Cup match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on February 22. South Africa posted 187 for 7 after strong knocks from David Miller and useful support from Marco Jansen. Miller scored a quick fifty and attacked the spinners in the middle overs. India’s chase of 188 never gained momentum. Early wickets put them under pressure. Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma fell in the powerplay. Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya also failed to build partnerships. Shivam Dube tried to counterattack but was dismissed by Jansen. India were bowled out for 111 in 19.4 overs. (PC: X)
