India were close to a heavy defeat against South Africa in their Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 in Ahmedabad. Chasing 188, India slipped to 101 for 8 in 15.5 overs. Keshav Maharaj removed Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh in three balls. Hardik was caught at long-off, while Rinku fell at long-on. Earlier, South Africa posted 187 for 7 after choosing to bat.
