ISRO’s LVM3-M6 to Launch Record-Breaking BlueBird Block-2 Communications Satellite on December 24

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will launch the BlueBird Block-2 mission on December 24 at 8:54 AM IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, using the LVM3-M6 heavy-lift rocket. The mission will deploy a 6,100-kg BlueBird Block-2 satellite developed by AST SpaceMobile, making it the heaviest commercial payload carried by LVM3 into low Earth orbit. The satellite is designed to provide direct-to-smartphone broadband connectivity, supporting global 4G and 5G services.
