A US Air Force pilot has questioned why the Dubai Airshow continued after the Tejas fighter jet crash that killed IAF Wing Commander Namansh Syal. Major Taylor “Fema” Hiester said his team cancelled their final show “out of respect” for the Indian pilot. He wrote on Instagram that he was shocked to see flying displays continue soon after the crash. Syal died when his Tejas aircraft went down during a manoeuvre. His remains were brought to Sulur and later taken to his village in Himachal Pradesh, where he was cremated with full military honours. His family and colleagues paid emotional tributes.
