An Indian Air Force Tejas fighter jet crashed during an aerial display at Dubai Air Show on Friday, killing the pilot. The aircraft was flying at low altitude around 2:15 pm before coming down in a ball of fire at Al Maktoum International Airport. Witnesses watched in shock as black smoke billowed from the crash site. The IAF confirmed the pilot sustained fatal injuries and expressed deep regret, stating a court of inquiry will investigate the cause. UAE's defence ministry confirmed rapid emergency response. Following the crash, aerial displays were cancelled and visitors evacuated, though shows resumed hours later with Russian Su-57 performances.
