A deadly car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort Metro Station killed at least eight people on Monday evening. The explosion happened around 6:52 pm in a Hyundai i20 near Gate No. 1, when the car was halted at a traffic signal. Several people were injured and admitted to LNJP Hospital. Following the incident, Delhi Police and security agencies placed the city and its borders on high alert. CISF posts, Delhi Metro, and IGI Airport have increased checks.
