A 23-year-old student from Andhra Pradesh, Rajyalakshmi (Raji) Yarlagadda, was found dead in Texas, US, on November 7. She had recently completed her MS in computer science at Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi and was looking for a job. Raji, from Karanchedu village, had been suffering from cough and chest pain for a few days before her death. Her family, who depend on farming, has started a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral costs and repay her education loan. The cause of death is still under investigation. Raji went to the US in 2023 to pursue higher studies. (PC: India Today)
