Harjit Kaur, a 73-year-old Indian grandmother, was detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in San Francisco. She had lived in the US for more than 30 years with no criminal record. Kaur, a single mother who came from India in 1992, worked as a seamstress for over two decades. She had reported to ICE every six months for 13 years. Her family says she followed all rules and paid taxes. The sudden detention shocked her community.
