A 57-year-old Indian woman from Ghaziabad, Rajesh Gola, died while escaping Nepal's Hyatt Regency hotel after protesters set it ablaze during deadly anti-government demonstrations. Gola and her husband Ramvir Singh were visiting Kathmandu when "Gen Z" protests intensified on September 9. As fire blocked escape routes, they jumped from the fourth floor onto mattresses placed by rescuers. While her husband suffered minor injuries, Gola sustained fatal wounds and died in hospital. The couple's son blamed separation during escape for her death. Nepal's anti-corruption protests have killed 51 people and injured over 1,300, forcing PM KP Sharma Oli's resignation. The Gen Z movement targets politicians' children's lavish lifestyles on social media. (PC: NDTV & Hindustan Times)
