Indian-origin motel manager Chandramouli Nagamallaiah, 50, was brutally beheaded with a machete at Downtown Suites motel in Dallas on September 10. Suspect Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, 37, attacked Nagamallaiah after an argument about using a broken washing machine. The horrific assault occurred in front of the victim's wife and son, who tried to intervene but were pushed away. Cobos-Martinez admitted to the killing and was arrested covered in blood while still carrying the machete. He's charged with capital murder and held without bond with an immigration detainer. The Indian Consulate in Houston expressed condolences and is assisting the family.
