India shot down a large Pakistani aircraft from 300km away during Operation Sindoor, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh said. This is the longest recorded surface-to-air kill. He also confirmed that five Pakistani fighter jets were destroyed. Military officials called it a “massive psychological, strategic and tactical blow” to Pakistan. They credited the Russian S-400 missile system for boosting India’s air power. Operation Sindoor began on May 7 after a terror attack in Pahalgam killed 26 people. India hit nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, killing over 100 terrorists. The four-day conflict ended with a ceasefire on May 10. (PC: ANI)
