Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow after four people died and several went missing in a cloudburst-triggered landslide in Uttarkashi’s Dharali village on Tuesday. The disaster struck around 1:45 pm, cutting off access to Gangotri Dham and unleashing massive flooding and debris. PM Modi, in a Hindi message on X, said he was praying for the injured and had spoken with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami to ensure swift rescue operations. “No stone is being left unturned,” he stated, as NDRF and ITBP teams were rushed to the scene.
