Arvinder “Arvi” Singh Bahal, an 80-year-old Agra-born adventurer and U.S. citizen, blasted off into space aboard Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin NS-34 mission on August 3. Bahal, who has visited every country on Earth, both poles, and skydived over Everest and the Pyramids of Giza, joined five other global explorers on the 14th crewed flight of the New Shepard program. The suborbital journey crossed the Kármán line, marking the edge of space. Bahal, a licensed pilot and helicopter flyer, called the flight the pinnacle of his lifelong quest for exploration. Blue Origin has now flown 70 people to space, with Bahal’s journey hailed as a symbol of curiosity and ambition without borders. (PC: Instagram & Hindustan Times)
