India said its ties with the US are strong and will keep growing, even after US President Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on Indian goods. Trump blamed India’s trade policies and ties with Russia. But the Indian government said it will protect national interest and continue talks for a fair trade deal. The foreign ministry added that India’s defence and energy choices are based on its own needs. “Our bond with the US has faced many tests and stayed strong,” the MEA said, showing hope that both nations will keep working together.
