India and the UK have signed a major Free Trade Agreement (FTA). This deal will remove import taxes on many Indian goods. Products like Kolhapuri chappals, Goa’s feni, basmati rice, and jackfruit will now enter the UK market without duty. Indian women and small producers will benefit the most. The deal is expected to double trade between the two countries by 2030. Many states like Maharashtra, Kerala, and Punjab will see growth in exports. The UK will also get cheaper Indian fruits, spices, and textiles. This agreement aims to support local jobs, small businesses, and cultural crafts across India. (PC: AP)
