Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in London on July 24 to sign a key free trade agreement (FTA) with the UK. This is India’s first big trade deal with a developed country in over 10 years. The FTA will remove taxes on Indian exports like clothes and leather, and make UK imports like whisky and cars cheaper. It aims to double trade between the two countries to $120 billion by 2030. The deal still needs UK Parliament approval. PM Modi will also discuss health, energy, and security with UK PM Keir Starmer before heading to the Maldives next. (PC: NDTV)
