Boeing expressed condolences after an Air India Flight 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, crashed near Ahmedabad. The London-bound plane suffered suspected dual engine failure minutes after take-off and crashed into a doctors' residential building near BJ Medical College. Boeing stated it is in contact with Air India and “stands ready to support.” The crash occurred days before the Paris Air Show and triggered a nearly 9% drop in Boeing shares. Most victims were Indian and British nationals. Air India has set up a hotline and is cooperating fully with investigators. PM Modi has been briefed. (PC: News18)
