Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma issued a stern warning to Bangladesh regarding the Siliguri Corridor, known as the 'Chicken's Neck,' which connects India's northeast to the rest of the country. This came after a Turkish Islamist group in Dhaka circulated maps depicting a 'Greater Bangladesh' that included parts of northeastern India. Sarma criticized Bangladeshi political figures, notably Md Yunus, for inviting Chinese economic expansion into Bangladesh and describing India's northeast as landlocked. He emphasized India's military capabilities, referencing Operation Sindoor's success against terror operations in Pakistan. Sarma warned that if Bangladesh targeted India's 'Chicken's Neck,' India could retaliate against Bangladesh's two comparable corridors. He dismissed the map claims as meaningless, asserting that Bangladesh, being significantly smaller, cannot be compared to India in terms of power and influence.(PC: India Today & LinkedIn)
