On May 15, 2025, Indian security forces killed three Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists in a joint operation in Nader village, Tral area of Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir. The militants—identified as Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Amir Nazir Wani, and Yawar Ahmad Bhat—were all local residents. Drone surveillance confirmed their location in a shed before they were neutralized. The encounter comes just two days after three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operatives were killed in Shopian, signaling heightened counter-terror actions following the April 22 Pahalgam attack that left 26 security personnel dead. Operations in the region remain ongoing. (PC: PTI)
