Satellite Images Show Significant Damage To Pak’s Critical Airbases Linked To Its Nuclear Capability

Satellite imagery analyzed by India Today reveals substantial damage to Pakistan’s Mianwali Air Base, contradicting official military statements. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) claimed only minor harm to three decommissioned aircraft and a destroyed fuel tank. However, images from Planet Labs PBC show at least nine damaged operational aircraft shelters, suggesting powerful explosions that could threaten active assets. These shelters are situated approximately 1.5 kilometers from the area designated for non-operational aircraft, challenging the PAF's assertions. The attack, claimed by Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan, an offshoot of the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, has prompted heightened security at military installations. This incident raises concerns about the vulnerability of Pakistan’s critical airbases linked to its nuclear capabilities. (PC: India Today)
