In response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, India launched "Operation Sindoor" on May 7, targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Within 26 minutes, precision strikes reportedly eliminated around 100 terrorists. India employed Rafale jets with Scalp missiles, Hammer bombs, M777 howitzers, and kamikaze drones. Targets included sites 6–100 km inside Pakistan. Pakistan's counter-offensive was largely thwarted, with Indian forces intercepting missiles and drones. A U.S.-brokered ceasefire was established, though violations were reported. Officials assert India's operations were successful, significantly damaging Pakistan's terror infrastructure.
