In response to India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ airstrikes targeting militant camps in Pakistan and PoK, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) has authorized its armed forces to take “corresponding actions” at a time and place of their choosing. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the strikes as an “act of war,” vowing to retaliate for every life lost. Pakistan claims to have downed five Indian jets and a drone, while India insists its strikes were targeted and justified. The situation has led to intensified cross-border hostilities, civilian casualties, and growing international concern over potential escalation. (PC: AFP)
