In response to India's Operation Sindoor—launched after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack—over 200 flights have been cancelled and 18 airports temporarily shut across northern and western India. Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, Akasa Air, and several foreign carriers suspended services. IndiGo alone cancelled approximately 160 flights. Affected airports include Srinagar, Leh, Jammu, Amritsar, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Shimla, Dharamshala, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Bhuj, and Bikaner. Air India announced cancellations at nine stations until 05:29 IST on May 10, offering full refunds or rescheduling waivers. IndiGo also advised passengers to check flight statuses due to anticipated schedule changes. These disruptions follow India's missile strikes on terror targets in Pakistan and PoK.
