India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has declared Pakistan a "safe haven for terrorists" following the April 22 Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives. In retaliation, India launched Operation Sindoor, targeting terror-linked sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasized that the operation was a calibrated response, aiming to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and prevent further attacks. He stated that credible intelligence indicated plans for additional attacks on India. Misri also highlighted Pakistan's continued support for cross-border terrorism and its failure to act against groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. The MEA reaffirmed India's commitment to safeguarding its citizens and territorial integrity.
