At least 12 terrorists were killed and 55 injured as India carried out precision strikes on nine terrorist infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir under Operation Sindoor. According to top government sources, the strikes targeted key bases of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Bahawalpur and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke. The defence ministry stressed no Pakistani military sites were hit, reaffirming India's measured and non-escalatory stance. In response, an emergency was declared in Pakistan’s Punjab province, and Lahore and Sialkot airports were shut. India has also briefed the US, UK, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE on the operation’s objectives and outcome. (PC: AP)
