India Launches Precision Strikes on Terror Bases in Pakistan After Pahalgam Attack, Pakistan Threatens Retaliation

In response to the deadly Pahalgam attack, India conducted Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Nine sites were struck, including Lashkar-e-Taiba's headquarters in Muridke and Jaish-e-Mohammad's base in Bahawalpur. India emphasized that the strikes were "measured and non-escalatory," avoiding military targets. Pakistan condemned the strikes, calling them "cowardly" and vowed to retaliate at a time of its choosing. Pakistan also initiated artillery fire along the Line of Control. Tensions remain high between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, with military drills and security drills being conducted on both sides.
