In the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives, the Jammu and Kashmir BJP has endorsed the Centre's decision to deport Pakistani nationals, including those married to Indian citizens. BJP spokesperson Sunil Sethi labeled such individuals as potential "sleeper cells" possibly linked to Pakistan's ISI. This stance follows the dismissal of CRPF trooper Munir Ahmed for concealing his marriage to Pakistani national Minal Khan, who arrived in India on a short-term visa that expired on March 22. Though granted interim relief from deportation by the high court, Minal termed the move "injustice," asserting no ties to the Pahalgam incident. Sethi emphasized that emotional grounds shouldn't override national security concerns. (PC: China Daily)
