In the aftermath of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 Indian tourists, India has enacted sweeping restrictions against Pakistan. The Indian government has banned all Pakistani-flagged ships from entering Indian ports and barred Indian vessels from docking in Pakistan. It also suspended all imports from Pakistan and halted mail and parcel exchanges via air and land. The decisions, issued by India’s Directorate General of Shipping and DGFT, aim to tighten national security and assert diplomatic pressure.
