In a landmark military breakthrough, Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence (GUR) confirmed that a Russian Su-30 fighter jet, worth $50 million, was destroyed by a missile launched from the Ukrainian-made Magura V5 unmanned naval drone over the Black Sea. The incident, executed by the elite Group 13 unit about 50 km west of Novorossiysk, marks the first time in history a maritime drone has downed a manned fighter aircraft. The strike triggered emergency measures in Novorossiysk and led to retaliatory Russian drone attacks on Kyiv, escalating tensions in the region.
