Amid rising tensions after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, the Border Security Force (BSF) on May 3 detained a Pakistani Ranger who was found inside Indian territory along the Rajasthan border. The incident closely follows the April 23 detention of BSF constable Purnam Kumar Shaw, who accidentally crossed into Pakistan. Despite formal diplomatic protests and multiple flag meetings, Pakistan has not released the Indian jawaan. The BSF is interrogating the detained Pakistani personnel as diplomatic tensions escalate, raising fears of further deterioration in already strained India-Pakistan relations. (PC: India Today)
