In response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people, India has imposed a total ban on all imports from Pakistan, citing national security concerns. The ban applies to goods already in transit and cuts off bilateral trade entirely. Additionally, Pakistan-flagged vessels are now barred from Indian ports, and Indian ships are prohibited from docking in Pakistan. This follows the closure of the Wagah-Attari border and suspension of Pakistani visas. Pakistan denies involvement, calling for a neutral probe, while India maintains the attackers had cross-border links. Tensions remain high along the Line of Control. (PC: NDTV)
