Pakistan-sponsored hacker groups, including "Cyber Group HOAX1337" and "National Cyber Crew," attempted to breach Indian Army-affiliated websites, targeting platforms linked to children, veterans, and welfare services. These cyberattacks aimed to deface sites like Army Public School (APS) Nagrota and Sunjuwan with inflammatory content mocking victims of the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives. Additional targets included healthcare services for ex-servicemen, the Army Institute of Hotel Management, and Indian Air Force veterans’ portals. A group named "IOK Hacker" also attempted breaches on April 29. Indian cybersecurity agencies swiftly detected and neutralized these threats, ensuring no operational or classified information was compromised, and have since enhanced security protocols.
