India crushed New Zealand's bowlers as Virat Kohli (117 in 113 balls) and Shreyas Iyer (105 in 70 balls) brilliant centuries fueled a mammoth 397/4 in the World Cup semi-finals at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Kohli slammed a historic 50th ODI ton while Iyer blasted a 67-ball hundred in India's highest-ever knockout total. Shubhman Gill along with Rohit Sharma gave an explosive start before Gill retired hurt on 79. Gill returned in the last over and finished the innings at 80* off 66 balls. Tim Southee scored an unwanted century himself, finishing with 100/3, but in the end, India was all over the BlackCaps for the first half of the match. As always, Rohit Sharma gave India an explosive start after winning the toss and opting to bat on a belter of a pitch. Both teams are unchanged from their last group matches. The semi is a repeat of the heartbreaking 2019 ODI World Cup exit when Dhoni's run out ended India's campaign in the final overs. India topped the group stage but lost in the semis last time. At Wankhede, Team India now seeks redemption against the Kiwis.
