The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will soon unveil a life-size statue of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at the Wankhede Stadium ahead of the India vs Sri Lanka Cricket World Cup match on November 2nd. The statue, manufactured by an artist in Maharashtra, will be placed near the stadium's Sachin Tendulkar stand. Tendulkar had given consent when the MCA proposed the statue to honor him on his 50th birthday in April. The MCA will also provide free popcorn and cold drinks to fans at World Cup matches in non-hospitality areas after getting their tickets stamped. The initiatives aim to honor Tendulkar and enhance the spectator experience at the iconic venue.
