"Stree 2," starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, has surpassed Ranbir Kapoor's "Animal" at the Indian box office, reaching ₹583.35 crore nett after its fifth Monday in theatres. The horror-comedy, directed by Amar Kaushik, has now become the second-highest-earning Hindi film in India, trailing only Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan," which holds the top spot with ₹640.25 crore. Taran Adarsh noted that the film's steady performance, boosted by a special ticket offer, suggests it may soon cross the ₹600 crore milestone.
