Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah expressed his deep concern about potential Islamophobia following the 1999 Kandahar Hijacking of IC814. At a press conference for his new series, Shah revealed, “I was about 50 when this happened. I remember being extremely disturbed because I feared it would provoke another wave of Islamophobia.” He said the incident left him with a persistent sense of unease and concern for the community.
