Labour leader Keir Starmer is set to become the first Labour Prime Minister in 14 years. Speaking at the Tate Modern in London, he said voters “have spoken and they are ready for change.” Starmer promised his government will always put “country first, party second.” He stressed that “a mandate like this comes with great responsibility” and aims for “national renewal.” With over half of the 650 seats counted, Labour is on track for one of its biggest majorities in the House of Commons. Starmer will visit King Charles III to get permission to form a new government.
