India has claimed two gold, three silver, and three bronze medals in athletics in the past two hours or so, securing a total of 52 medals till now. Tajinderpal Singh Toor clinched the 13th gold for India in the Men's shot put event, while Avinash Sable made history as the first Indian to win the 3000m steeplechase gold. India also won silver in men's 1500m and long jump along with bronze in women's 1500m and discus throw. Boxer Nikhat Zareen settled for bronze in the Women's 50kg category, and shooter Kynan Darius Chenai secured a bronze in the men's 50m trap event. Golfer Aditi Ashok earned silver in the women's individual round, and the women's team also won silver in the 25m trap event, bringing India's medal tally to 13 gold, 19 silver, and 20 bronze. In badminton, the Indian men's team is playing the gold medal match against China with the clash currently tied at 2-2.
