Cyclone Senyar formed over the Strait of Malacca on Wednesday after a deep depression intensified, the IMD said. The storm is moving west at 10 kmph and is expected to make landfall on the Indonesia coast this afternoon. Winds may reach 70 to 90 kmph. A second weather system over the southwest Bay of Bengal has also strengthened and may turn into a depression soon. Both systems are bringing heavy rain to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
