A Karachi-based woman, Nikita Nagdev, has made a public plea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing her husband, Vikram Nagdev, of abandoning her in Pakistan and quietly planning a second marriage in Delhi. Nikita says they married in Karachi in January 2020 under Hindu customs, and Vikram brought her to India soon after. She alleges he later left her at the Attari border under the pretext of visa issues, forcing her return to Pakistan. She filed a complaint in January 2025 after learning about his alleged engagement in Delhi. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued a show-cause notice to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, demanding a response within 24 hours. The regulator accused him of failing to plan for the November 1 implementation of stricter Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) norms, resulting in "massive" cancellations and delays that caused severe hardship to passengers. DGCA cited “significant lapses in planning, oversight and resource management” and said IndiGo did not provide required support to stranded flyers. At least 23 people died in a fire that broke out around midnight at the “Birch by Romeo Lane” nightclub in Arpora, North Goa. Police suspect the blaze was triggered by a gas cylinder explosion. The DGP and several senior officers responded immediately, and fire services brought the blaze under control by early morning. Most of the deceased were found in the kitchen, suggesting they were club staff. Among the dead are three women; reports also mention a few tourists. Authorities have launched an investigation, and Goa CM Pramod Sawant has ordered a detailed inquiry. 

Russia launched a major overnight attack on Ukraine, firing 653 drones and 51 missiles. Most were shot down, but a strike destroyed a key railway station in Fastiv and hit energy sites in eight regions, causing blackouts. The attacks came as US and Ukrainian officials held peace talks in Florida. Both sides said the discussions were “constructive” and agreed on a basic security framework, but many issues remain. The DGCA said this showed big lapses in management, oversight and resource use. It also formed a committee to study the disruptions. The BJP responded to Congress claims that Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge were not invited to President Droupadi Murmu’s banquet for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
