Israel carried out air strikes on southern Beirut on Sunday, days after a US-brokered truce. Lebanese media reported that 2 people were killed and at least 17 were injured. The strikes hit apartment buildings in a Hezbollah stronghold. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the attack targeted “terrorist headquarters” in response to projectiles fired into Israel from Lebanon. Hezbollah has not commented on the claim.
